SUPERHERO NAILS // MARVEL – HULK // GREEN AND PURPLE!

Hi guys!

If you saw my last nail post, you’ll see that I decided to do a Superhero Series, painting my nails to represent different Marvel superheroes.  After loving the film, my first one had to be Deadpool, which you can see here!

Today, it is…. HULK!  Sort of.  I don’t get out much as you probably know, so I had to go with the nail polishes I already had.  Now I know Hulk isn’t sparkly, but my nail representation of him is 😀

 I started with the green glittery nail polish (Mina Sweet Color in 89) on all but the ring fingers – it was pretty opaque, but needed 2 coats to look good.  I then took the purple polish (Morgan Taylor Bright Side) on my ring fingers, and in a jagged pattern on the top part of the middle fingernails.

I then took the Essence The Gel black nail polish in Black is Back and a small, thin nail brush.  I drew around the jagged purple polish on the middle finger to try and look a bit like the jagged bubbles in comics.  I also drew a basic design in black on the next fingers along, to look a bit like Hulk’s six pack!

For a bit of a different look and texture, I took OPI’s Black Shatter and put it over the green glitter polish on each thumbnail.  If you don’t remember ‘shatter’ nail polish, you apply it over another varnish and it breaks up into a shattered pattern on the nail… the easiest possible nail art!

Finally I added a second coat of Bright Side to the ring fingers and whilst it was still tacky, I dipped the two nails into loose purple glitter.

The last step was to seal everything in with two coats of top coat – I used Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat.

If I’d been able to go shopping, I probably would have got a more suitable green polish, but I don’t think I did too badly with what I had!  I am in no way an expert at nail art and have super shaky hands, but I enjoy playing around with it and had fun doing this Hulk nail look.
